Booking, Cancellations and Hire

Booking changes/cancellations made more than 7 days prior to the uplift day can be transferred to another date within 6 months (subject to availability) free of charge.

Refunds will incur a £5 per person, per day cancellation charge.

Booking changes/cancellations made less than 7 days (but greater than 48 hours) prior to the uplift can be transferred to another date within 6 months (subject to availability) free of charge.

Refunds will incur a £10 per person, per day cancellation charge.

No refunds or transfers will be given for anyone who cancels less than 48 hours before the day or does not arrive on the day.

If for any reason the day is cancelled by the organisers (e.g. due to snow/ice) a full refund will be given. As much notice as possible will be provided but Revolution Bike Park Ltd cannot accept liability for any additional costs incurred.

We require a minimum number of riders in order to run the day and reserve the right to cancel the uplift if the minimum number is not reached. A full refund will be given in such circumstances and Revolution Bike Park Ltd cannot accept liability for any additional costs incurred.

Please note wind and rain conditions do not affect the uplift service and we will not cancel for these conditions

Security and Privacy

No 3rd parties – your details are confidential and will not be passed to any third parties.

We do not hold your payment details on file, all sensitive information is processed via PayPal, a proven safe payment provider.

Bike Hire Terms and Conditions

Bike hire is available on a daily rate from 10am till 4pm and is priced as follows:

Adult full-suspension DH bike: £70

Half days available from 10am–1pm or 1pm-4pm: £35

Crash protection equipment can be hired at an additional cost. Please note that full face helmet and knee pads are compulsory. Bikes will not be hired out without this protection - either your own or hired. 

Full-suspension MTBs come fitted with flat pedals.

Under the Terms & Conditions of Bike Hire at Revolution Bike Park you, (The Hirer) are responsible for the bike for the day and any repair costs that may occur from accidental or crash damage during the hire period.

Any damage to the bike will be charged at cost price.

The Hirer will also be responsible for any costs incurred if the bike is stolen, for any deliberate or reckless abuse and incorrect adjustment. 

The bike will be inspected with you before the hire.  It is important that you pay attention during this inspection.  When returned the bike will be inspected and any damages found that were not recorded in the pre-hire inspection will be charged.

Please follow the Mountain Bike Checklist above and ensure you check your bike before each ride.

 

Payment Terms

Payment must be made in advance of hire. 

ID

Photographic ID must be left with Revolution Bike Park Ltd for the term of the hire, and will be returned when the hire is complete. 

Hire Bike Return

All Hire bikes must be returned by 16:30 and must be cleaned/jetwashed.

Late returned bikes will be subject to a late returns fee of £30.00 per hour, charged per ¼ hour.

 


Park Rules and Safety Code

Please follow the code to ensure fun and safety for all riders at the park.

The organisers reserve the right to revoke day passes and/or ban riders from the park for breach of the code.

Ride within your ability! -Trails are graded according to ability, ensure that you are competent to ride each trail. If in doubt start on the easier trails and work your way up. 

Take your time! - Don't assume you know the trails, even if you have been to the park before. With constant use by riders, maintenance and improvements, features can change over time. 

Riders must not push or ride up the trails.

Do not stop on the trails. If you find it necessary to stop, pull off the trail in a safe place.

When entering a trail or starting downhill, look up and give way to riders coming down the trail.

Stay on marked trails - do not cut switchbacks or modify trails.

Keep off closed trails and abide by all safety signs, information and directions from event organisers

Only ride at the park on designated uplift days- the park is private property and riding is prohibited when the park is closed to the public.

You must ALWAYS wear a full face helmet. Knee pads are also mandatory at Revolution Bike Park.

We also strongly advise you wear gloves, body armour, eye protection and a neck brace.

IF YOU DO NOT HAVE A FULL FACE HELMET AND KNEE PADS YOU WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO RIDE IN THE PARK OR USE THE UPLIFT SERVICE.

If a rider is hurt, do not attempt to move them - notify a member of staff immediately.

Public footpaths and bridleways are present within the bike park. Riders must not cycle along these routes and should at all times remain on the marked mountain bike trails.

Bike tracks cross public footpaths within the woods, these crossings are marked and extreme care should be taken at these points.

Riders should give way to any walkers or other users who are on the footpaths. 

No responsibility is accepted by the organisers for any injury sustained or caused while crossing footpaths.

It is your responsibility to ensure you and your equipment is fit for purpose. 

If you are under the influence of drugs or alcohol you will not be allowed to ride at the park or use the uplift service.

All participants under the age of 18 will need to provide a signed consent form from a legal guardian (aged 18 or over).

A parent or guardian must accompany riders aged 16 or under and must stay ON SITE for the duration of the uplift day.

Mountain Biking, like any extreme sport, is dangerous, includes substantial obstacles, which can be physically testing. 

There is a risk of injury and death when undertaking such activities.

 

Mountain Bike Checklist

The trails at Revolution Bike Park are rough and demanding on both the bike and body. Before riding always inspect your equipment or have it checked by a qualified bike mechanic. If in doubt, don't ride.

We recommend the use of modern long-travel, full suspension bikes with hydraulic disk brakes in the park.

Full face helmets and knee pads are compulsory at Revolution Bike Park. Please ensure that your helmet and personal protective equipment is in good shape and is properly adjusted.

Ensure you bike is fit for purpose - Inspect bike frame for cracks, damaged or dented areas.

Ensure you have sufficient brake pads to stop your bike while descending. 

Front and rear axles should be tight.

Headset and stem must be secure with no looseness or play.

Check that your tyres and rims are in good condition, with no tears or cuts in the sidewall of the tyres or any cracks in the rims. Spokes should be tight and intact.

Handle bars and handlebar grips must be tight and unable to spin.

Seat and seat post need to be fastened securely.

Suspension should be in good working order with no leaks or loose parts.


Acceptance of Risk

YOU ARE ABOUT TO TAKE PART IN A HIGH RISK ACTIVITY. YOU WILL MINIMISE THIS RISK BY FOLLOWING THE PARK RULES AND SAFETY CODE.  IF YOU DON’T FOLLOW THE SAFETY CODE AND ADVICE YOU COULD HAVE A SERIOUS ACCIDENT WHICH COULD BE FATAL.

I understand that Mountain Biking is dangerous and includes substantial obstacles, which can be physically testing. I accept that there is a risk of injury and death when undertaking such activities.

I understand that I must wear a full face helmet and knee pads at all times and that body armour, neck brace and gloves are highly recommended.

I agree that I will follow the Park Rules and Safety Code at all times.

I agree to check my bike and equipment as per the Mountain Bike Checklist at the start of the day, before each run and after any crash.

In the unlikely event of an accident, or loss or damage to my personal effects, I acknowledge that the company will not be liable for any direct or indirect loss, damage or injury arising from or in connection with the Activities (except for death or Personal Injury caused by the Company’s negligence).

I certify that to the best of my knowledge I do not have a medical condition which might have the effect of making it more likely that I be involved in an incident which could result in injury to myself or to others.

    1. WHAT THESE TERMS COVER

THESE TERMS COVER your booking, entry into Revolution Bike Park and your use of the uplift, trails and hiring equipment.

IT IS IMPORTANT YOU READ THESE TERMS CAREFULLY BEFORE BOOKING this is because they provide important information on how and on what terms we will accept your booking, how we may change or refuse you entry to Revolution Bike Park and what to do if there is a problem as well as other important information.  If you think there is a mistake in these terms or require any changes please contact us as soon as possible to discuss.

    2. CONTACT INFORMATION

WE ARE Revolution Bike Park Limited of Bryn Craig Llangynog Oswestry Powys SY10 0HA.  Our company registration number is 07484415 and our registered VAT number is 114 458 918.

    3. YOUR BOOKING AND CONTRACT WITH US

WE WILL ACCEPT YOUR BOOKING when we email you to accept it. The contract between you and us will then come in existence. This means that any dealings, changes and any other actions by you or us will be under these terms including your entry to the Revolution Bike Park.

IF WE CANNOT ACCEPT YOUR ORDER we will inform you of this using the contact details provided and will not charge you for the booking.  We may refuse your order because of unavailability of the uplift and hire equipment on the day(s) you have booked.

    4. YOUR RIGHTS TO MAKE CHANGES AND CANCELLATIONS

TO CHANGE YOUR BOOKING please let us know as soon as possible using the contact details in 1. above. Provided you contact us at least 48 hours before your arrival your booking will be moved to another date (subject to availability) free of charge.

  Where we cannot offer you a suitable alternative date a refund [or voucher for the value of your booking will be issued to you for future use].

IF YOU WANT TO CHANGE YOUR BOOKING LESS THAN 48 HOURS PRIOR TO UPLIFT DATE we will not be able to change your booking and will not be able provide you with a refund.

IF YOU DO NOT TURN UP ON THE DAY YOU BOOKED without telling us you will not be entitled to a refund or a transfer of booking.

IF WE CANCEL YOUR BOOKING a full refund will be given unless we cancel due to your act, fault or negligence.  We may have to cancel due to adverse weather conditions or other safety hazards or where the minimum number of riders required for each day is not reached. We will try to provide you with as much notice as possible but this cannot always be done, for example, where the reason for cancellation cannot be foreseen in advance. 

IT IS IMPORTANT THAT YOU CHECK THE EMAIL ADDRESS YOU HAVE PROVIDED AT THE TIME OF BOOKING AND OUR FACEBOOK PAGE on the day you are due to arrive prior to leaving. Any closures and cancellations will be notified this way.

DO NOT ASSUME THAT YOUR BOOKING WILL BE CANCELLED we will not normally close the Park due to wind and rain conditions. If you are aware of adverse weather conditions or other events or acts possibly affecting us; you should contact us for confirmation and check your emails and our Facebook page.  Any assumption by you will not be accepted by us as an excuse to cancel and you will not be entitled to a refund. 

WE CANNOT GUARANTEE THE AVAILABILITY OF ALL THE MOUNTAIN BIKE TRAILS AND HIRE EQUIPMENT ON YOUR DAY OF BOOKING AND ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR EVENTS OUTSIDE OUR CONTROL. You should check our website and Facebook page for updates on the day you are due to arrive prior to leaving. 

    5. RESPONSIBILITY AND REQUIREMENTS

WE ARE RESPONSIBLE TO YOU FOR FORSEEABLE LOSS AND DAMAGE CAUSED BY US. If we fail to comply with these terms, we are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking this contract or our failing to use reasonable care and skill, but we are not responsible for any loss or damage that is not foreseeable.  By signing the Participation & Risk Acceptance Form  you accept the risks associated with mountain biking. Mountain biking is a high risk activity and we cannot be responsible for any injury or damage to you or your property unless we have failed to use reasonable care and skill.

WE RECOMMEND THAT YOU TAKE OUT SUFFICIENT INSURANCE for personal liability and injury because of the high risk involved with mountain biking activities. You should contact a reputable insurer or insurance broker for advice as we cannot provide any advice or arrangement assistance on insurance policies.

WE DO NOT EXCLUDE OR LIMIT IN ANY WAY OUR LIABILITY TO YOU WHERE IT WOULD BE UNLAWFUL TO DO SO. This includes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence or the negligence of our employees, agents or subcontractors; for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; for breach of your legal rights in relation to your booking and for defective products under the Consumer Protection Act 1987.

WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR BUSINESS LOSSES we only supply the services for domestic and private use. If you use Revolution Bike Park for any commercial, business or re-sale purpose we will have no liability to you for any loss of profit, loss of business, business interruption or loss of business opportunity. 

YOU WILL NOT BE PERMITTED TO USE ANY OF OUR SERVICES AND FACILITIES WITHOUT A COMPLETED PARTICIPATION & RISK ACCEPTANCE FORM. This will be available to you when we accept your booking. If you do not complete this form online prior to arrival it can be made available for you to do so upon arrival.  If you do not complete this form you will not be entitled to a refund.

a. HIRE EQUIPMENT

HIRE EQUIPMENT WILL BE INSPECTED IN YOUR PRESENCE PRIOR TO YOUR USE AND AFTER YOUR USE. You should pay attention as you will be unable claim damage or defects that were present before use where only picked up by our staff after your use.

YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE HIRE EQUIPMENT WHILST IT IS IN YOUR USE. Any repair costs from accidental or crash damage during your hire period will be your responsibility and we will require you to pay any such costs at cost price.  You will also be responsible for our costs for replacements if the hire equipment is stolen and for any deliberate or reckless abuse or incorrect adjustment whilst in your control.

YOU MUST USE AND FOLLOW THE MOUNTAIN BIKE CHECKLIST, PARK RULES AND SAFETY CODE AND ADVICE OF OUR STAFF. Failure to comply could result in you being asked to leave the Park, you will not received a refund and we reserve the right to charge you for any damage or injury caused as a result of any act by you or negligence.

VALID PHOTOGRAPHIC IDENTIFICATION (either passport or driving licence)  MUST BE SUPPLIED TO US AND WILL BE RETAINED BY US FOR THE TERM OF HIRE. no copies will be taken or information stored by us and the identification will be handed back to you when the hire is complete.

ALL EQUIPMENT HIRE MUST BE RETURNED AND WASHED. For full day and afternoon hire by 16:30 and for morning hire by 13:30.  The equipment must also be cleaned using our onsite jet washing facilities on each day of use.

IF YOU ARE LATE RETURNING YOUR BIKE you must pay a late returns fee of £7.50 for every 15 minutes over the return time.

b. UPLIFT AND TRAIL USAGE

YOU MUST FOLLOW THE PARK RULES AND SAFETY CODE, THE ADVICE OF OUR STAFF AND RISK & ACCEPTANCE MEMBERSHIP FORM, MOUNTAIN BIKE CHECKLIST AND CHECK YOUR BIKE PRIOR TO EACH USE. Failure to comply could result in you being asked to leave the Park and/ or banned from further entry, you will not receive a refund and we reserve the right to charge you for any damage or injury caused as a result of any act by you or negligence regardless of your act being intentional or unintentional.

CHILDREN UNDER 18 MUST HAVE THE WRITTEN CONSENT OF THEIR PARENT OR GUARDIAN  to use our services. 

CHILDREN AGED 16 AND UNDER MUST HAVE A PARENT OR GUARDIAN (over 18) present with them at all time at the Park. The parent or guardian must also sign the Participation & Risk Acceptance Form on the child’s behalf.

CHILDREN UNDER 12 WILL ONLY BE ALLOWED TO USE OUR SERVICES BY PRIOR BOOKING which will be at our discretion.

    6. PRICE AND PAYMENT

HOW TO FIND OUT THE PRICE this is the price indicated on the order pages when you placed your order.

WHAT HAPPENS IF THE PRICE IS WRONG? Despite our best efforts there is a possibility that your booking could be incorrectly priced.  We will normally check prices before accepting your order so that, where the correct price at your order date is less than our stated price at your order date, we will charge the lower amount.  If the correct price at your order date is higher than the price stated to you, we will contact you for instructions before we accept your order.

WE WILL PASS ON CHANGES IN THE VAT RATE if the rate of VAT changes between your order date and the date of your booking arrival we will adjust the rate of VAT that you pay, unless you have already paid in full before the VAT rate change takes effect.

WHEN YOU MUST PAY AND HOW YOU MUST PAY we accept payments with PayPal and all major cards. You must pay at the time of booking.

    7. COMPLAINTS

IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS OR COMPLAINTS please contact us as soon as possible using the details provided in 1. Above.  Alternatively please speak to one of our staff at the Park.

The Consumer Rights Act 2015 says:

·   you can ask us to repeat or fix a service if it's not carried out with reasonable care and skill, or get some money back if we can't fix it.

·   if you haven't agreed a price beforehand, what you're asked to pay must be reasonable.

·   if you haven't agreed a time beforehand, it must be carried out within a reasonable time.

    8. HOW WE MAY USE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

WE WILL USE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION:

  1. For your booking
  2. To contact you where required in accordance with these terms, for example if we have to make changes or cancel your booking.

YOUR PAYMENT DETAILS ARE NOT INPUT STORED BY US YOU WILL BE DIRECTED TO PAYPAL TO MAKE PAYMENT. PayPal will use your details to process payment and you must read and follow their terms and conditions. 

WE WILL ONLY GIVE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION TO THIRD PARTIES WHERE THE LAW EITHER REQUIRES OR ALLOWS US TO DO SO.

    9. OTHER IMPORTANT TERMS

WE MAY TRANSFER THIS AGREEMENT TO SOMEONE ELSE. We may transfer our rights and obligations under these terms to another organisation or person.  We will contact you to let you know if we plan to do this.  If you are unhappy about the transfer you may contact us to end the contract prior to 48 hours before your arrival and we will refund you any payments you have made in advance.

YOU NEED OUR CONSENT TO TRANSFER YOUR RIGHTS TO SOMEONE ELSE. You may only transfer your rights or your obligations under these terms to another person if we agree to this prior to 48 hours before your booking day of arrival.

NOBODY ELSE HAS RIGHTS UNDER THIS CONTRACT. This contract is between you and us. No other person shall have any rights to enforce its terms.

IF A COURT FINDS PART OF THIS CONTRACT ILLEGAL THE REST WILL CONTINUE IN FORCE.  Each of the paragraphs of these terms operates separately. If any court or relevant authority decides that any of them are unlawful, the remaining paragraphs will remain in full force and effect.

Even if we delay in enforcing this contract, we can still enforce it later. If we do not insist immediately that you do anything you are required to do under these terms, or if we delay in taking steps against you in respect of your breaking this contract, that will not mean that you do not have to do those things and it will not prevent us taking steps against you at a later date. For example, if you damage our property and we do not pursue you we may still pursue you at a later date.

These terms are governed by English law and you can bring legal proceedings in the English courts. If you live in Scotland you can bring legal proceedings in either the Scottish or the English courts. If you live in Northern Ireland you can bring legal proceedings in respect of the products in either the Northern Irish or the English courts.
